We are pleased to announce the donation of the Andre Casavant Memorial Cup to be awarded to the winner of the Adams Division and the Gordon Wakelin Cup to the winner of the Norris Division of the Casco Bay Junior Varsity League.

Andre Casavant was a beloved Casco Bay Hockey Coach who passed away in 2014 after a brief struggle with cancer.  Andre’s wife Terrie and his children, Danielle and Drew, continue to be part of the Casco Bay family and Drew will be playing in the MEAHA Pee Wee tournament this weekend with his Casco Bay teammates.  At the same time as Drew’s game on Friday, Falmouth will take on Mt. Ararat for possession of the Casavant Memorial Cup.

Gordie Wakelin might be the best-known coach in Casco Bay.  Certainly, he has had the longest career of any coach.

Gordie was present at the inception of the program, coached many of Casco Bay’s most accomplished players, and has served in a myriad of coaching and administrative roles through the years.  Simply, Gordie is someone the Casco Bay family has always been able to count on.  On Saturday night, Yarmouth will battle with Windham/Westbrook for the Wakelin Cup.  This weekend’s game schedule is listed below:
