Thanks to the sharp eyes of Casco Bay Coach Greg Lanou, who brought the opportunity to our attention, Casco Bay Arena was the high bidder for Ingersoll Arena’s air-cooled chiller. A chiller is the heart of any refrigeration system, and the purchase will save our arena approximately $100,000 from our construction budget. This savings will allow us to build a more comfortable warm area.
The Ingersoll chiller was built and installed in 2008, and was inspected by our rink consultant, Benn Bretton of Rink Specialists prior to our bid.
