That Time of Year

You may have noticed a huge, gaping hole where our chiller used to be. Unfortunately, our new chiller is in Massachusetts waiting for a part to be fabricated. But fear not. Hockey season must go on.

Kevin Kaserman, a longtime Casco Bay Hockey parent and Arena Board Member, stepped into the fray to install a temporary, portable chiller. With timely assists from Ben Keeley and his crew at Keeley Crane Service, and Tom Strattard and his team at Strattard Electric, we are able to install the temporary chiller to start making ice. We expect that we will have our sheet ready to go this weekend.

At Casco Bay Arena, we pride ourselves on our support in the hockey community. Time and time again, Kevin Kaserman has volunteered for whatever is needed at the Arena. Without the expert crane work of Keeley Crane and outstanding electrical work supplied by Strattard Electric, we would not be skating this weekend. These are the types of people who make Casco Bay Arena possible. If you see any of these wonderful volunteers around the rink, please thank them.
