Due to factors beyond our control, last year’s Casavant Memorial Cup and Wakelin Cup Championship Games were not played until the beginning of this season. St. Dom’s looks to be the team to beat this year as it captured the 2016-17 Casavant Memorial Cup with a decisive 6-3 win over Cape/Cheverus.

In Wakelin Cup action, Windham/Westbrook took home the trophy with a 6-2 win over Portland/Deering. Windham/Westbrook took full advantage of all of their scoring opporutnities in a hard-fought game.

In other opening games, Yarmouth/Greely topped MTA/Lisbon 5-3 and Falmouth beat NYA 5-1. League action resumes this weekend with the following slate of games:
